Their
Exemple : ‘’It was their favourite game to play.’’
Due to their identical sounds the words "their" and 'they're' are often confused. "Their" is the possessive form which indicates belonging to them. It is only used when something is owned by a group of at least two people.
They're
Exemple : ‘’They're never going to grow up!’’
"They're" is a way of shortening the phrase "they are". It is not used in any other circumstances and should only be employed when it can be expanded to "they are."
