Sew or Sow?
Your choice!
Sew
Exemple : ‘’I need to sew this button on to my coat.’’
"Sew" and "sow" are homonyms and are prone to being mixed up. "Sew" is a verb relating to the action of attaching two pieces of material together using a needle and thread.
Sow
Exemple : ‘’I will sow the seeds into the pots tonight.’’
"Sow" is also a verb but is used to denote the action of planting seeds in the ground in order for them to grow. It can also be used in the sense of "sowing doubt," meaning to cause doubt about something which is likely to continue growing.
