Phlem or Phlegm ?

Phlegm

Exemple : ‘’My cough caused a lot of phlegm to gather in my mouth.’’

The word "phlegm" is very difficult to spell due to the "ph" at the beginning which sound like an "f" as well as the "g" which is not clearly pronounced. It derives from the Latin word "phlegma."
