Exemple : ‘’I have lived here since I was 10.’’
The words "since" and "for" are often mixed up. "Since" should be used to denote something which started from a specific point and is still ongoing. In other words it is used to mean "from a particular point in time until this moment."
For
Exemple : ‘’I have lived here for 12 years.’’
The word "for" should be used to denote a period of time from start to finish.
