Amature or Amateur ?

Exemple : ‘’I am not yet a professional footballer as I play at amateur level.’’

The word "amateur" is often misspelt with the word "mature" at the end. It is not spelt in this way though. This is due to the fact that it derives from the French word of the same spelling which itself originates from the Latin "amātōr."
