Beetween or Between?

Exemple : ‘’The space between the seats is very small!’’

The word "between" is commonly misspelt and given a double "e" where it is not needed. This is due to the pronounciation of the word which sounds as though it begins with the word "bee." The word derives from the Old English "betweohs," which had the same meaning as the current word "between."
