Hard
Exemple : ‘’The exam was really hard!’’
The words "hard" and "hardly" are often misused. They have very different uses. "Hard" is an adjective which can be used to denote that something is the opposite of soft or that it is very difficult.
Hardly
Exemple : ‘’There is hardly any milk left in the carton.’’
"Hardly" is used as an adverb to mean "only just" or as a synonym of the word "barely."
