The prepositions "under" and "below" are often mixed up. "Under" is generally used when something is completely covered by what is above it.
Below
Exemple : ‘’Temperatures are below average this month.’’
"Below" is most often used when something is not directly underneath something else. It is also used in relation to both temperature and height.
